Conference Center
Alton Bay, New Hampshire

The April 4-6 training session has been postponed until a later date. Contact us for more information.

Ï Learn the basics of a marriage ministry.

Ï Discover a marriage mentoring model that can be used in small groups and couple-to-couple mentoring.

Ï Become equipped in the essential skills for marriage mentoring ...
building rapport, working as a team, asking meaningful questions, listening aggressively, telling your stories, praying together, spotting red flags, and more.

Ï Find out how your specific gifts and abilities can be combined to be most effective in mentoring other couples.

Ï Learn from those who are experienced in mentoring other couples and leading marriage ministries in their churches.

Ï Return home with a tool bag loaded with the tools necessary for training and recruiting other marriage mentors in your church.

Ï Strengthen your own marriage relationship.

THE NEED:  A high number of marriages both inside and outside the church are failing. Churches have not been able to effectively tackle the problem. Pastors are frustrated by the number of couples needing assistance and the lack of time they have to help.

A SOLUTION:  To raise up an army of trained marriage mentors in New England churches who will develop a comprehensive marriage ministry that prepares couples for marriage, helps married couples maximize their relationship, and provides effective resources for couples in distress.

THE RESULTS:  Pastors will not be overwhelmed by distressed marriages, churches will be more relationally healthy, children will be raised in healthy homes by their parents, and the world will see a compelling portrait of the transforming power of Jesus Christ in our relationships.

Our Marriage Mentor Training Seminar is designed to train a lead couple (or couples) from your church with the required skills and tools for mentoring couples and for recruiting and training other marriage mentors.

Who should attend this seminar?

  1. Pastors and spouses who want to learn how to mentor couples.
  2. Couples who are passionate about helping less experienced married couples on their marital journey.
  3. Marriage mentors wanting to sharpen their mentoring and leadership skills.
  4. Married couples who want to start a marriage ministry in their local church.

Comments from couples who have been mentored...

"The mentoring program has been incredibly helpful to us because our mentors have been through a lot of the things we are going through now. We benefit from what they have learned."

"Because of the guidance we have received from our mentor couple, we feel that we have an advantage that will help us have a life-long marriage."

• Marriage mentors with healthy, stable relationships provide positive role models for couples who lack constructive relationship skills.

• Marriage mentors can be a valuable asset to pastors who are often overwhelmed by distressed marriages.

• Marriage mentors become important sounding boards as couples face the inevitable challenges of marriage.

• Marriage mentors lovingly invest in the preparation, maximization, and
restoration of lifelong marriages by walking alongside couples who are less experienced than their mentors.
