10 Ways to Ruin Your Family

1. Let your kids know that your adult world is more important than their world.
2. Make sure each family member has his or her own TV in their bedroom so they can spend a lot of time alone.
3. Be too busy to attend your kid’s school and athletic functions.
4. Talk about doing a job like it is punishment instead of making it seem like the job is part of being in a family.
5. Don’t go to the trouble of planning family outings.
6. Don’t take family vacations together.
7. Regularly criticize family members for not meeting your expectations.
8. Whine about how one family member’s circumstances are affecting everyone else’s life.
9. Be rigid.
10. Disapprove of family members’ performances and belittle their efforts. Always make them redo the job.
