Keep Short Accounts

The biblical admonition, “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry” (Ephesians 4:26), is not a command to stay up all night until you have resolved a conflict. Rather, it is a command to keep short accounts with each other. Deal with the issue openly, forthrightly, and head-on.  The longer you wait to get a matter off your chest, the bigger and more headstrong the problem becomes.

Charley Mann is the Executive Director of the Barabbas Project in San Antonia, Texas and is using our Blueprint for a Lasting Marriage Bible Study in a program that helps inmates in the prison system transition back to their families and communities. Another prison ministry in Texas has been using the Bible study as part of their curriculum with inmates for a couple of years. We didn’t know anything about it!
