Parent Enrichment Christian Education Foundations Track


The following chart is a suggested foundations track for parent enrichment in the local church.  They can be presented as a part of the adult Sunday School program, used in small groups, or presented during other Christian education times.

Course # 1Shaping the Next Generation (LifeWay Press) - An easy-to-use video-based study that provides concerned parents with the basic information, motivation, and tools they need to shape the spiritual character of their children, ages birth through 12.
Course #2Parenting by Heart (Total TV Network) - A video-based series featuring Dr. Ross Campbell & Dr. Kevin Leman. Topics covered are: "How to Really Love Your Child"; "The Key to Discipline"; "Power Struggles"; and "A Lasting Legacy."

Course #3

Building A Heritage (Cook Ministry Resources)- A guided study for parents who want to build a positive legacy for their children. Participants will learn how to leave strong spiritual, emotional, and social legacies, how to prepare children to make the right moral choices, and how to plan creative Family Nights that teach important truths.

Course #4

New Faces in the Frame: A Guide to Marriage and Parenting in
the Blended Family
(LifeWay Press) - The first six-week study  focuses on marriage issues, and the second six-week study focuses on parenting issues. The two studies can be done separately or as a combined 12-week course.

Course #5

The Five Love Languages of Children (LifeWay Press) - This video series helps parents identify their children's primary love language which can help parents better communicate their unconditional love and respect. It features popular authors Dr. Gary D. Chapman and Dr. Ross Campbell.
