Chapman, marriage expert and author of several popular books, including The Five Love Languages.
"When you were here, God really used you and the thoughts from the text from Ruth to encourage us and open our eyes to some things that He wanted us to hear. Our guests absolutely loved your theme and thoughts as well. We really appreciate the creativity in your theme, and the clarity of the text, and how that speaks to our lives, our families, our role in our community and so on. What I am saying is that we greatly enjoy your teaching." - Todd Carver, Director of Ministry, Monadnock Bible Conference Center, Jaffrey, NH "Willie Batson does a great job of communicating timeless Biblical instruction for relationships in the context of today's changing world. He speaks with insight, transparency and candor on the very delicate and important topics that can make or break a marriage. His topic on sexuality in marriage really struck home with many in our congregation, and we look forward to hearing from him again in the future. Willie lives what he teaches and teaches with warmth and relevancy that give people real tools to use in building the kind of marriages that God designed us for." - Rev. Dave Gish, Senior Pastor Hope Church, Wilton, CT “It made us realize there were underlying problems in our marriage we never realized. Their caring about people and marriage as an institution is awesome.” – a recent seminar participant We are blessed by your articles, your lessons and your tools for couples, massively!! – Carey and Linda-Marie “I came here expecting a miracle in my marriage and God delivered one this weekend for my wife and me.” – a seminar participant | We affirm.... - The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- That for the salvation of lost and sinful persons, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
- The present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
- The resurrection of both the saved the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
- The spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
This affirmation of faith has been signed by all members of the Board of Directors and our employees. Our Core Values of Ministry Family Builders Ministries - We acknowledge Jesus Christ as our head and submit ourselves and all our activities to His will.
- We support the Church as God’s primary institution for sharing with this world the love of God and the message of salvation from sins only in Jesus Christ.
- We acknowledge that the institution of marriage is intended by God to be a permanent, lifelong relationship between a man and a woman, regardless of trials, sickness, financial reverses or emotional stresses that may ensue.
- We believe the family, as designed by God, is one of God’s primary means to perpetuate the Christian faith from generation to generation.
- We believe that children are a heritage from God and a blessing from His hand making us accountable to Him for shaping them for a life of service to Christ's Kingdom.
- We will engage in only those fundraising activities that are consistent with Biblical values and our philosophy of ministry. We have an obligation to spend donor monies conservatively and wisely in continuing this ministry.
- We are committed to being truthful, accountable, and forthright in all that we do.
- We will constantly evaluate our approaches to marriage and family ministry, seeking maximum ministry effectiveness in the accomplishment of our God-given mission.
| The Challenge Research suggests, all things being equal, children who grow up in healthy, married, two-parent families do better than those who do not. Further, many social problems affecting children, families, and communities could be prevented if more children grew up in healthy, married families. Married couples seem to build more wealth, on average, than singles or cohabiting couples, thus decreasing the likelihood that their children will grow up in poverty. Children who live in a two-parent, married household enjoy better physical health, on average, than children in non-married households. Healthy marriages reduce the risk of adults and children either perpetrating, or being victimized by, violent crime. Social research also shows that how couples approach marital conflict is critical to the overall health of their marriage and their children’s well-being. Very high levels of parental conflict are associated with greater emotional and behavioral problems in children.
God has given Family Builders Ministries the opportunity to influence marriages and families today which can result in healthy marriages and fewer broken homes in the generations to come. Our Christ-centered and Biblically-grounded teaching and equipping ministries are designed to strengthen the marriages and families in local congregations and their communities. Healthy marriages and families will result in healthy churches that have a powerful tool for reaching the homes in their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Strategy There is help. And there is hope. Family Builders Ministries is committed to helping local congregations build stronger marriages and families from generation to generation. Our mission is accomplished through the following objectives and strategies: Equip couples with proven skills and tools for building healthy marriages that last. We offer several marriage seminars that can be hosted in local churches or conference centers which help married couples avoid the hazards that lead to hurt, anger, and failure. Our online resources are focused on helping seminar participants continue growing their marriage. Train parents in how to raise Godly children in a healthy home environment. Our parenting seminars and online resources show parents how they can develop healthy parenting skills that will be a blessing to their children. They see how their home environment can be a help or a hindrance to the passing of the baton of faith to their children. Develop and train leaders in local churches with tools to build stronger marriages and families in their communities. We offer pastors and church leaders the practical and relevant training needed for building a marriage and family ministry that will have a significant impact on the homes in a congregation’s ministry field. Our onsite and online leadership coaching services assist marriage and family ministry leaders in providing a strategic and relevant ministry to married couples and families. |
